Promotions: Anthropic’s expanded Claude Startups program, with the fine print
Update: closed to new applications since October 13. Anthropic’s own page lists up to $7,000 in Claude products and credits for approved startups, plus partner offers it values at up to $45,000. The footnotes say how those numbers are built.
One offer this time, and it comes straight from the vendor’s own announcement. It is a program with an application, not a coupon, so the conditions matter more than the headline.
The short version
Anthropic’s page of October 6, 2026 says approved Claude Startups members can get up to $7,000 in Claude products and credits: a free year of Claude Team (up to five Premium seats, for companies new to Team) and a one-time $1,000 API credit. A separate Claude Startup Stack lists partner discounts and credits worth up to $45,000 at partner list prices. Eligibility: founded in the last five years or funded in the last two. No end date is stated on the page.
Update October 14, 2026: Anthropic's Claude Startups page now says the current cohort is full and it is not accepting new applications right now. Everything below describes the offer as of October 6 and is not open to apply for today.
Claude Startups: Claude Team for a year plus API credit

- Conditions: Open to startups founded in the last five years or funded in the last two. You apply, and benefits apply once you are approved. The $1,000 API credit is available as soon as you are approved. The Team seats are for companies new to Team.
Fine print: The $7,000 figure is the vendor’s own arithmetic: one year of Team with five Premium seats at $100 per seat per month billed annually ($6,000), plus the one-time $1,000 credit. Actual value depends on your number and type of seats. Credits fall under Anthropic’s Supplemental Credit Terms. The $45,000 for the Startup Stack is the combined maximum of all partner offers at partner list prices as of September 2026. Partners set the terms, and your company may not be able to receive or combine all the offers.
What else the page lists
Virtual office hours with Anthropic’s Applied AI team, hands-on help building and submitting a listing for the Claude Marketplace, access to events such as Founder House, hackathons and meetups (space is limited), and a startup newsletter. These are benefits of membership, not prizes, and the page gives no schedule or capacity for them.
Left out on purpose: a report of a Claude Code cloud credit starting October 7 is not on any Anthropic page I could find, so it is not listed here. It goes in once a vendor page confirms it. I did not apply to anything and I do not use referral links.
