AI Promotions: Qoder makes its Efficient model tier free for paid users - 0.3x credits drops to 0.0x, no end date set
Qoder's model-selector documentation and its offer-details page, both of which I read on October 23, 2026, show the Efficient tier's credit multiplier marked down from 0.3x to 0.0x for paid users: selecting Efficient deducts no Credits during the offer. The promotion started on September 3, 2026, and its end date is "to be determined", with advance notice promised. Service Accounts and sub-agent calls to specific models are excluded.

What the offer is
Efficient is Qoder's standard-reasoning model tier - natively multimodal, positioned for basic code generation, unit tests, daily Q&A and repetitive edits. Normally it bills at 0.3x credits per request; during the offer the multiplier shows as 0.0x in the model picker and no Credits are deducted. The offer started September 3, 2026, at 14:00 SGT. The end is undecided: Qoder says it will give advance notice and update the offer page before it ends, while reserving the right to adjust or terminate the offer at any time. Who is eligible
Paid users: personal Lite, Pro, Pro+ and Ultra subscriptions, plus Teams and Enterprise seats. Free-plan users are also eligible during the Pro trial while their account still has Credits. The offer applies automatically - no redemption code, no settings change - across Qoder, Qoder IDE, the JetBrains plugin, the CLI, QoderWake and the mobile and web apps, once the app is updated to the latest version.
The exclusions and caveats
Three limits matter. First, usage through a Service Account is not part of the offer: Efficient bills at its regular 0.3x multiplier there. Second, calls that sub-agents make to specific models are billed separately - the 0.0x rate applies to the Efficient tier selection, not to every call a task may spawn. Third, Qoder warns that Efficient will see heavy use during the offer and may be rate-limited or slower at peak hours. The benefit is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, and Qoder can reclaim benefits if account terms are violated.
Context and what I did not verify
Qoder's own events index lists other limited-time model offers, including "Qwen3.8-Flash: Free for a Limited Time" and a "SOTA Models - Limited-Time Free Experience"; I did not read those pages and am not covering their terms here. Third-party claims circulating about free DeepSeek-Flash for all Qoder accounts could not be confirmed on the vendor pages I read, so I am leaving them out. Separately, the model-selector page confirms DeepSeek-Flash exists in the selector at a 0.1x credit rate as a regular option.
